ney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

Good morning!  It’s been awhile since we posted anything, but with our recent visit, will start to re-energize the bog!

Last week during our Spring Break, we went to Disney to use our Disney Vacation Club (DVC).  I was extra excited to see that my points could reserve one of the new spots at the Polynesian, the newest vacation club villas!  On a side note, the Polynesian is our favorite resort!

The way this DVC is promoted, I unknowingly thought the bungalows, which is seated over the Seven Seas Lagoon had both the 2-bedroom and deluxe studios.  Upon our arrival, we marveled at the property as we waited for our room to be ready.  When it was, we wandered around perplexed as to the exact location.  Come to find out, the deluxe studios were not over the lagoon, but looked like the other buildings on the property.

So be it, the DVC villa is a little larger than a regular Polynesian room.  There are two bathrooms and a small kitchen area, but, it’s not that much different than a room (we stayed at the Polynesian 5 years ago)

I am not saying we did not enjoy the room or stay.  The room is beautiful and so is the entire property.  What I am alluding to is buyer beware!  Make sure you know what you are reserving!  I was so excited about being able to stay at the Polynesian, that I did not research more thoroughly.  But, it was perfect or my daugher and I.  No complaints, except watch the nesting birds!  I was pecked at on the last day!

Enjoy the tour of the room and see you next time!

Another Orlando Florida Trip

WOW, we just got back from another trip to Orlando.  This time we stayed at the Marriott Royal Palms villas and did other attractions besides Disney World.  I know our blog and posts center around Disney, but, we want to share all our travel fun and learnings!

The first two days were spend at the ‘other park’, Universal Studios.  It was a lot of fun and Megan is also a Harry Potter fan.  Of course I liked the areas that I am most familiar with such as; Seuss Landing and Toon Lagoon at Islands of Adventure.  In the traditional Universal Studios, walking around Hollywood and visiting the I Love Lucy Tribute was a highlight for me.  I even got to preview and give my opinion on a new fall show that is to air on the Scify channel.

The biggest highlight was talking to ‘Doc Brown’ as depicted in the video.  Back to the Future, all three, are among my favorite movies.  I hope you enjoy as much as I did!

Should I dare say, Have a Magical Day on this one???  I would use a Harry Potter line, but I don’t know any!!
